WILDFLOWER FESTIVAL WALK

CCCG conducts walks or kayaking tours along the waterways in different areas of the Currimundi Lake Catchment for members of the community during The Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival each year.  Kawana Forest is a favourite place for both walking and bird-watching. It is hoped everyone comes away with an appreciation of the area having enjoyed the experience.

Sunday 26 August 2012 was a lovely winter’s day – just perfect for a guided walk at Creekside, Currimundi. Over 70 people turned up to hear our guides Phil, Dot, David and Jenny point out the beautiful local wildflowers growing in the midst of our urban setting.
