Currimundi Climate Watch Trail Guided Walk

Currimundi Lake Summer Survey : Join Currimundi Catchment Care Group for this citizen science activity and record observations of key indicator species at Currimundi Lake. On this guided walk around the beautiful Currimundi Lake, we will explore the local flora and fauna and learn how our data can reveal impacts of climate change.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature, learn from experts, and contribute to citizen science efforts. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply curious about climate change, this guided walk promises an engaging and educational experience.

Currimundi Lake is the site of a ClimateWatch Trail. ClimateWatch is a citizen science project that aims to record how changes in temperature and rainfall are affecting the seasonal behaviour of Australia’s plants and animals. Our Currimundi Catchment Care Group guide will assist you to identify indicator species and to use the ClimateWatch App so you can contribute to this important project.

Don’t miss out on this chance to explore the beauty of the Currimundi Lake area and deepen your understanding of climate change impacts.

See NatureWatch Sunshine Coast for more information about Climate Watch and the app. We recommend you install the ClimateWatch app on your phone or tablet and register with Climate Watch before the event.
