Working bee Saturday 13 June 2024

Location: Crummunda Park, Coongarra Esp, Wurtulla. Meet opposite 31 Coongarra Esp.

Target: Hopefully we will have enough participants to split into 2 groups. One group will work near the pontoon and entrance to Kathleen McArthur Conservation Park where our targets will be mile-a-minute, corky’s passion vine and siratro. So important to try and protect the Conservation Park. The second group will be working closer to our meeting point, where sadly, corky’s has decided to flourish. Not for long though – we have it in our sights!

RSVP: Daniel our Council Bushcare coordinator – daniel.jonas@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au
It helps Daniel plan and bring enough equipment.

The Working Bees

Everyone is welcome to join us. The work will suit most peoples of all levels of fitness and age. Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. We have a mix of regulars and people who just turn up when they can. Please wear long sleeves and pants and closed-in shoes for your protection. We also recommend a hat and water bottle. Gloves and tools supplied.

The working bees are operated under the Sunshine Coast Council Bushcare volunteer conservation program. Before participating for the first time you will be required to register and complete a safety induction (both simple processes). Gloves and tools are provided.
